The SG Special returns to the classic design that made it relevant, played and loved - shaping sound across generations and genres of music. This early 60's style SG Special has the vibe and sound heard on countless classic rock recordings. The Epiphone SG Special P-90 from the new Inspired by Gibson Collection, offers fans the legendary SG solid body electric with powerful Epiphone P-90-PRO single-coil pickups. This Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Original model also has the Kalamazoo headstock, rolled neck for a comfortable feel, GraphTech NuBone nut.
Single-Coil Single-Coil configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two single-coil pickups. It offers a clear, crisp tone with pronounced highs and low output, making it ideal for clean sounds and styles such as blues, country and pop.
Indian Laurel is a medium hard wood with a fine texture and a warm brown tone. It offers a balanced tone with a slightly softer response than ebony or maple. The Indian Laurel fingerboard is valued for its durability and feel, while offering a visually appealing and affordable alternative to more expensive woods.
Mahogany is a dense wood that produces a warm, full tone with rich bass and a strong mid-range. It is known for its excellent sustain and resonance, giving it a deep and round sound.
The guitar features a mahogany neck for excellent strength and stability. Mahogany is known for its great resonance, contributing to a warm, rich tone with a distinctive mid-range.

Kytara dorazila rychle a v pořádku. Chod a průběh potenciometrů skvělý. Jediná výtka - ocenil bych, kdyby krkový snímač šel zašroubovat hlouběji do těla.
I was looking for a guitar with a P90 to round out my sound portfolio, and the SG seemed to be the optimal choice for my needs. The guitar arrived quickly and in good order. I am pleasantly surprised by the appearance and workmanship. Compared to the photos, the color is even a little more yellow, which is the intention here and it looks good. I found only negligible imperfections on the paintwork. The processing of the frets and the neck is perfect (which I was worried about for an instrument of this price category), unlike, for example, cheaper fenders, I did not need to adjust the edges of the frets or the neck in any way. I only changed the strings to 11s and of course adjusted the neck deflection. Electronics cleanly soldered on installed. The operation and progress of the potentiometers is excellent. The compensated single bridge tunes the octaves well (of course, it is not individually adjustable and there are slight deviations from the pure octave, but nothing that would be noticeable during normal playing). I don't have deep experience with SGs and P90s, but the sound is exactly what I expected from an instrument of that type and pickups. Moreover, after a short test, I do not see a significant difference between the more expensive model from Gibson, not even in the quality of workmanship. The only complaint - I would appreciate it if the neck sensor could be screwed deeper into the body. It's causing me problems to adjust both pickups to produce roughly the same strong signal - the neck pickup is louder than the bridge pickup, which has to be unscrewed very close to the strings, which is not good. Perhaps in time I will try to remove the sensor, if it would not be possible to simply drill a deeper hole for the screw. Overall - an excellent instrument for the money, even now I don't even want its significantly more expensive Gibson model.
