With its arched top and premier-quality construction and components, the E-II Horizon NT-II is ready for professional-level stage and studio performances for all kinds of music. Formerly called “ESP Standard”, all ESP E-II instruments are created at ESP factory in Tokyo, Japan, and are designed for professional players who accept no compromises in tone, feel, or reliability for their guitars and basses. The E-II Horizon NT-II is available in See Thru Black Cherry Sunburst, and features neck-thru-body construction with a mahogany body and arched quilted maple top, and a three-piece maple neck that features an ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets and offset block inlays, and a satin finish on the back for super smooth playability. This guitar offers high-end components that include Gotoh locking tuners, a Gotoh TOM bridge and tailpiece, a bone nut, and Dunlop locking strap buttons. Pickups on the E-II Horizon FR-II are EMG 66TW (neck) and EMG 57TW (bridge), both with Brushed Black Chrome covers and coil splitting with push-pull controls. Includes an ESP hardshell form-fitting case.
Ebony is a very hard and dense wood with a smooth surface and a rich, dark color. It offers a clear, articulate tone with excellent response. The ebony fingerboard is popular for its durability, speed and luxurious appearance, while offering excellent playability and precise tone.
The glossy finish gives any surface an elegant and luxurious look. This type of finish is achieved by applying several layers of lacquer or resin, which are then polished to a high gloss. This provides a smooth, reflective finish, enhancing color and structure of substrate. The glossy finish not only improves aesthetics, but also protects against dust, moisture and minor scratches.
The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.
The Superstrat is a type of electric guitar based on the design of the Stratocaster, but modified for a more aggressive style of playing, especially in the hard rock and metal genres. It has a solid body, often with powerful humbucker pickups for a more powerful and distorted sound. Superstrat guitars often have an improved tremolo system (like the Floyd Rose) and a faster neck for technical playing. This type of guitar is designed for the modern guitarist who demands more versatility and performance.
Maple is known for its strength and stability, making it ideal for necks that need to resist bending and warping.
Mahogany is a dense wood that produces a warm, full tone with rich bass and a strong mid-range. It is known for its excellent sustain and resonance, giving it a deep and round sound.
