Leo Fender and George Fullerton shaped the sound of modern music with their groundbreaking P- and J-style basses. And in 1982, they did it again with G&L's streamlined SB-2 and its (what would later be known as) Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups. Today's Tribute SB-2 both honors and modernizes this fan favorite with upgraded hardware and decadent player comforts. The 34-inch-scale medium "C" bolt maple neck now sports a 12-inch-radius fingerboard for reduced risk of fretting out, along with a satin backing for unhindered access to all your favorite fret positions. The sleek body is now crafted from poplar and features a stripped-down PJ MFD pickup complement for instant access to some of rock and soul's most coveted sounds. Increasing tone and performance are G&L's Saddle-Lock bridge for an increased transfer of vibrational energy between strings and woods, and a set of precise open-gear tuners with large-format clover tuning keys for greater tuning stability.

Waouw, G&L rules !
