Finish

Finish: Polished

The glossy finish gives any surface an elegant and luxurious look. This type of finish is achieved by applying several layers of lacquer or resin, which are then polished to a high gloss. This provides a smooth, reflective finish, enhancing color and structure of substrate. The glossy finish not only improves aesthetics, but also protects against dust, moisture and minor scratches.

Pickups Configuration

Pickups Configuration: HH

The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.

Fretboard

Fretboard: Indian Laurel

Indian Laurel is a medium hard wood with a fine texture and a warm brown tone. It offers a balanced tone with a slightly softer response than ebony or maple. The Indian Laurel fingerboard is valued for its durability and feel, while offering a visually appealing and affordable alternative to more expensive woods.

A baritone guitar is of course not your everyday instrument, but at this very affordable price I thought- let me give it a chance because I can definitely use this instrument for some great sounds, voicings etc especially for recording. Gretsch’ are great guitars and they are definitely their own thing and the Electromatic series are their most affordable achievement, but I must admit that the good reviews I saw online wasn’t lying and the Chinese craftsmanship is impressive: It plays very well — the setup right out of the box was very nice — it looks great and the sound: well for my taste it is absolutely amazing. On the neck pickup you have an almost jazzy warm sound - in the middle position some more twang is added, but with the bridge pickup you have a really beautiful rock twangy sound - really big and broad. I’m not using the bigsby that much as I was prepared that it would have quite some string tension – I chose that option mostly because of the counterweight to the long next and that works perfectly. If you’re looking for a baritone guitar I can definitely recommend the Gretsch G5260T.

Great instrument, but had to be set up properly and the screws for the strap were totally loose & not straight. Sound is great though.

Sehr feines Instrument, ungewöhnlich wenn man bis jetzt nur Strats gespielt hat. Verzerrt ein unglaublicher Klang.

Very fine instrument, unusual if you've only played Strats before. Unbelievable sound when distorted.
