This is a good preamp that can do everything from light crunch to high-gain distortion and can become a chug machine when boosted. My only complaint is that middle and treble eq knobs seem to affect frequencies lower than they typically do in other guitar preamps so something like 10-band eq can be a good friend for Rigel preamp. The bass knob also seems to do it but I actually like it)
