Meinl G28-E-PL Sonic Energy Gong 28"

Planetary tuned gong from Sonic Energy series that has a diameter of 28 inches/710 mm and is made in Germany in the European gong-making tradition. Using the calculations of Hans Cousto (The Cosmic Octave) to match the frequencies of platonic year, it is tuned to produce the corresponding frequency of 172.06 Hz (F2) on an A4= 400-433.56 Hz scale. This gong is handcrafted from nickel-silver by the gong makers to respond with great sensitivity in all playing applications and its mysterious sound comes from the countless hours spent hand-working the metal. It is atmospheric and soothing and promotes emotional balance, patience and self-confidence. It comes supplied with a fitting cover and MEINL gloves. Weight: 5.4 kg.
