Shure PGA27 Studio Condenser Microphone

Professional-quality large diaphragm side-address condenser microphone from PG ALTA series that is designed for clear capture of vocal, acoustic and amplified sources in recording applications as well as live sound. With an updated industrial design that features a black metallic finish and grille, it offers an unobtrusive visual presence. The condenser cartridge with cardioid polar pattern and large diaphragm provides wider dynamic range for clear highs and strong lows. The cartridge requires phantom power. Additional features include a high-pass filter for extra control of unwanted low-end signal and a -15dB switchable attenuator for additional SPL versatility. Frequency range: 20 Hz-20 kHz. A shock mount and a padded zipper case are included.

Type: Electret condenser
Frequency Response: 20 to 20,000 Hz

Output Impedance: 115 Ω
Sensitivity: -35 dBV/Pa (17.8 mV)
Polarity: Positive pressure on diaphragm produces positive voltage on pin 2 with respect to pin 3
Weight: 453 g
Connector: Three-pin professional audio (XLR), male
Operating Temperature: -20 to 165 °F (-29 to 74 °C)
Operating Humidity: Relative 0 to 95%
Polar Pattern

Polar Pattern: Cardioid

The cardioid directional microphone is designed to be most sensitive to sounds coming directly from the front and less sensitive to sounds coming from the sides and back. This directional pattern resembles the shape of a heart (hence the name "cardioid") and is ideal for situations where it is necessary to focus on a single sound source and minimize ambient noise.
