The Takamine LTD 2022 is a fantastic, beautiful guitar. The finish is perfect, the binding, the rosette, fretboard position markers, the grain structure of the koa wood back and sides all completed to perfection. The sound is nice and bright and may have less volume when it comes to deep tones but for a "small" body guitar I think it is perfect. The LTD 2022 is a prime example of what first class guitar builders can produce when they have a free hand and are not limited by trying to build a guitar for a lower price range.I am also glad to have been able to get hold of a guitar of this quality because following the devastating forest fires on Hawaii, the supply of Koa wood being available for guitar builders may be limited for years to come so what guitars using Koa woods will be built / become available in the years ahead.
