Hi-hat stand from Cobra 900 series that features the same long footboard as the TAMA's Speed Cobra bass drum pedal and its core design is based on the Iron Cobra hi-hat stand, widely recognized as one of the best performing hi-hat stands in the world. The longer footboard offers footwork flexibility, added control and sensitivity. The "Quick-Set Clutch" allows hi-hat cymbals to be quickly attached and removed. The clutch also allows the top hi-hat cymbal to float more freely, maximizing the natural resonance of the cymbals. The construction of the Bearing Hinge on the footplate has changed from a one-piece assembly to two pieces. This design holds the bearing more evenly - minimizing stress and maximizing smoothness, while also adding to the pedal's sense of power. Like Iron Cobra pedals, footboard angles on this stand can be adjusted for perfect matching of the angle between the hi-hat footboard and the slave-side footboard of the double pedal. Thanks to the Spring Seat, user can get a crisper and clearer hi-hat sound with his foot by tilting the bottom hi-hat cymbal. The non-loosening tension rod features specially shaped plastic and metal nuts that fit together perfectly and spare-the-rods tension rod protector that saves the tension rod the rigors of the road by packing it in the specially designed upper section pipe. The stand further offers a two-leg design that is not only easier to set up in limited spaces, but it is actually more secure than the standard three-leg design. The secret is in the small stabilizer under the footboard which effectively shifts the balance and strength of the stand toward the player. Since there is no steel plate under the footboard, it is foldable for quick set-up, fast tear down, and easy portability. Other features include a tilt system with one T-bolt, 6-way tension adjustment, swivel foot or Oiles bearing hinge that offers less friction than standard ball bearings and eliminates side-to-side motion. The Glide-Tite Grip Joint allows for a more secure attachment by using a metal-to-metal contact point. This provides an extremely solid anchor and complete isolation for a tom or cymbal. Because the stand does not move with the instrument, the natural resonance of that instrument is maximized. The stand comes with both long and short cymbal rods, allowing drummers a choice based on their unique setup needs.
