Like the AG06MK2, both channels 1 and 2 of the AG08 feature phantom power to support condenser microphones, which are popular with musicians and dialogue-focused content creators for their exceptional sensitivity and fidelity. Using the dedicated AG08 Controller app, you can also pan left and right for any kind of stereo microphones, including ASMR microphones.
In addition, two independent headphone monitor channels are available for applications where two people are interviewing or where someone other than the performer is managing the audio.

Three assignable sliders for flexible USB input/output
Signal from multiple applications on a computer connected via USB or analog line inputs can be individually assigned to faders for channel 3/4, 5/6 or 7/8, allowing you to intuitively mix LINE/USB audio signals via physical control of the faders. Conversely, the three USB mix outputs from the AG08 can be individually assigned to different applications on your computer via a USB connection.

The combination of these features facilitates more flexible real-time response, for example, sharing optimally mixed audio with chat partners or listeners during live interviews and streaming.

In addition, for ASIO-enabled applications such as DAW software, direct output from each input channel (channels 1, 2, 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8) and three mixed channels can be used in parallel, enabling multi-channel recording even during live broadcasts.

Four effect preset buttons on the bottom left of the AG08 console allow you to seamlessly switch between custom effect presets for channel 1 on the fly. This gives users versatile, real-time control, allowing them to add just the right amount of effects - including the new Voice Changer - especially during voice acting and live music performances.

The AG08 features high-quality effects to underscore, correct or enhance the signal of vocals and musical instruments. All effects are grouped into the five categories detailed below and are processed by the built-in DSP, so they have no delay or impact on computer processing. Detailed information about each DSP effect can be set in the AG08 Controller application.

Channel 1 features a new Voice Changer effect that can turn your voice into that of another gender, a robot, etc., while Channel 2 offers an amp simulator for a more authentic guitar or bass amp sound. These effects, along with Comp, EQ, Reverb and the newly added Delay, can be set independently on each channel, allowing you to choose the optimal setting for each.

The Ducker function can be used to automatically attenuate the playback sound of channels 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8 relative to the audio input from channels 1 and 2, so you can easily set up a streaming system in which the signals of channels 1 and 2 are always clearly audible.

Finally, the Maximizer function is a simple but powerful mastering function that can add level boosting to your mix to achieve greater standard and professionalism, as well as attenuating peak signals to give listeners and viewers a more comfortable and enjoyable audio experience.

The AG08 features six customizable sound panels that make it easy to add real-time sound effects to bring your broadcast to life. Using the dedicated "AG08 Controller" app, you can easily drag and drop existing audio files and assign them to the selected pad, or record your own samples via the AG08's inputs and edit them to the desired length in the app.

The new console also features a new PA-150B power adapter for more stable operation and to accommodate a wider range of application settings, along with an integrated 1.5A USB power adapter.

The AG08 comes with Cubase AI software for music production as well as WaveLab Cast for audio production and editing. The AG08 is also compatible with Cubasis LE apps for iOS devices, available free from Steinberg to support and inspire audio content creation.
